Narrative
WENTZVILLE, MO – Three adults were injured, and a 7-year-old boy died following a wrong-way collision on I-80 around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. A 24-year-old male driver was suspected of impairment when he traveled the wrong way and crashed head-on with another vehicle. The 7-year-old boy and the adults with him – a 42-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman – were all sent to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis. There the child died, and the man and woman were treated for moderate and minor injuries. The driver, suspected of impairment, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. He was arrested.
