HUNNEWELL, MO – Two adults and a 9-year-old boy were hospitalized for their injuries after a driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe failed to yield to traffic and collided with a Chevrolet Traverse Saturday. This collision occurred before 1:30 p.m. on Highway 36. A Basehor man driving a Chevrolet Traverse – 41-year-old Joseph Trowbridge – was going west, while 87-year-old Jay Price of Hannibal operated a Hyundai Santa Fe, traveling south. Price didn’t yield to traffic, and as a result, hit Trowbridge. Price was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries. He did not wear a seatbelt. The passenger with Trowbridge – 51-year-old Ashley Trowbridge – was also takenn to Hannibal Regional Hospital for moderate injuries. A child was airlifted to Children’s Mercy in St. Louis for moderate injuries.
