Narrative
SUGAR CREEK, MO – A 43-year-old woman died Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in northwest Jackson County.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Cement City Road in the city of Sugar Creek. This is about 9 miles northwest of Kansas City.
Police say that a 2017 Nissan Sentral struck the passenger side of a 2005 Mercedes CLK55 AMG when the latter vehicle turned left without yielding the right-of-way.
A passenger in the Mercedes, identified as Heather Cearley, died in the collision.
Medics transported both drivers to the hospital with serious injuries.
