BRANDSVILLE, MO – A 32-year-old woman driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee died after she struck a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis and then a 2018 Freightliner on U.S. 63 Wednesday. 

Missouri Highway Patrol said the woman, Katherine Welch, had hit the semi head-on and then succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. 

It is not immediately clear if impairment, distracted driving, speed, tiredness, or other factors played a role in this crash.
