Narrative
BEAUFORT, MO – A male driver was sent to the hospital when he traveled at a high rate on U.S. 50 East in rainy conditions, causing his 2013 Buick Enclave to crash into a ditch and roll over. This crash was reported around 1:30 a.m. Monday. Initially, the Buick driver – 60-year-old David Hoerr – said another vehicle swerved off U.S. 50 to avoid hitting a deer, which in turn led him to leave the road and crash. However, that claim appeared to be untrue. Hoerr was sent to Mercy Washington for treatment of serious injuries. He did wear a seatbelt.
