Narrative
FREEMAN, MO – On Thursday night, May 4th, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a head-on collision on Missouri Highway 2 near 271st St. in Freeman, Missouri. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 GMC, driven by a 16-year-old, was traveling east when it crossed into the oncoming lanes for unknown reasons and slammed head-on into a 2012 Ford.
The Ford’s driver, Cynthia L. Wasser, a 66-year-old resident of Ottawa, Kansas, was transported to Frontier Medical where she died from her injuries later on. Three teenagers in the GMC were also hospitalized with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
