NEAR YOUNT, MO – A 30-year-old man operating a Chevy Silverado lost his life after he crashed into a tree and embankment, leading his truck to overturn Monday. 

This single-vehicle collision happened on the westbound lanes of Bollinger County Road 924. The 30-year-old old, who was identified as Kody Menteer from Fredericktown, succumbed to fatal wounds, while his passenger — 28-year-old James Edmonds — was taken to T. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau for treatment of serious wounds.
