Narrative
AUDRAIN CO., MO – Two people went to the hospital Tuesday after a solo crash along the highway in north-central Audrain County.
The accident occurred around 4:15 a.m. at the intersection of Missouri 15 at Route E. This is northwest of Rolla.
Police say a 26-year-old driver, identified as Dayton Cates, may have been intoxicated when he lost control of his pickup truck and left the roadway. The truck overturned multiple times, seriously injuring both the driver and his 19-year-old passenger. Both occupants went to the hospital.
Authorities arrested the driver of the pickup truck but say that he has since been released.
