Narrative
RAY CO., MO – A woman died, and a teen girl went to the hospital Saturday following a 3-vehicle accident in northwest Ray County.
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on MO-13 just north of Route HH. This is south of Polo in the Knoxville area.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a northbound 2009 GMC Sierra entered the southbound side of MO-13 and collided head-on with a southbound 2018 Ford Explorer. A southbound 2002 Dodge Ram then struck the rear of the Ford Explorer.
The 16-year-old driver of the wrong-way vehicle went to the hospital with serious injuries.
The 62-year-old driver of the Ford died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public, but they say she was from Richmond.
The driver of the Dodge did not sustain injuries in the crash.
