Narrative
EUREKA, MO – A 34-year-old woman died Monday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in southwest St. Louis County.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on the northbound side of MO-109 near I-44 in the city of Eureka. This is about 27 miles southwest of St. Louis.
Police say that a southbound Ford Focus neglected to yield right-of-way while making a left turn from MO-109 onto I-44. The Focus struck a Ford F350, causing the pickup to overturn.
The unrestrained driver of the Focus died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified her as Sarah Webb.
Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officials closed roads in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.
